Auckland 2050
Building the Future City.

Date: Wednesday, April 2, 2025
Time:
5.30pm – 7.30pm
Venue:
WZ Building, 6 St. Paul Street, Auckland 1010.

Major demographic changes are forecast for Auckland over the coming 25 years. A population increase of 35% to 2.5 million people with increased ethnic and cultural diversity.  Also an older city with 20% to 25% aged 65+. Greater density, more demands on physical and digital infrastructure. What about transport and accessibility? What about climate resilience? How do we plan and invest for Auckland to remain a good place to live? Or maybe we can engineer a better Auckland?

This timely event is a collaboration between the Property Foundation and the School of Future Environments at AUT. Our expert panel will share their views and concerns, how processes may need to adapt, and what the future holds for the built environment and those who will build it. Hear their truly expert opinion, enjoy the discussion and share refreshments with colleagues.
