Our Board of Trustees guides the implementation of our Vision and Mission. Together, they bring a balanced blend of expertise and experience in both the property industry and academia.
Richard Chung
Trustee/Chair
Richard Chung has had a career in property valuation and consulting since the late 1980s. He retired as a Partner in PwC’s Property, Infrastructure and Capital team in 2021 and has held previous senior roles at Wareham Cameron + Co and EY.
He is now focused on governance roles, private investments and ad hoc property consulting.
Peter Mence
Trustee/Deputy Chair
Peter Mence is the Chief Executive Officer of Argosy Property Ltd. He has 35 years of experience in the property industry working with Progressive Enterprises, Challenge Properties, Richard Ellis and Green & McCahill.
Zoltan Moricz
Trustee
Zoltan Moricz is a Senior Director of CBRE Research in New Zealand. Zoltan joined CBRE in 1994 and has led the New Zealand Research division since 1996.
Robyn Phipps
Trustee
Professor Phipps, Dean of Architecture and Design at Victoria University, specialises in researching home and school performance, focusing on heating, ventilation, energy efficiency and weather tightness. She’s dedicated to creating healthy environments through sustainable, low-cost solutions. Her research extends to universal design, renewable energy, construction safety, and climate change adaptation. As Co-Director of He Kainga Oranga, she received multiple awards, including the Prime Minister’s Science Prize and the Rutherford Medal. She chairs the Ministry of Education’s Ventilation Technical Advisory Group and holds key positions in various organisations, earning recognition such as the RICS Lifetime Achievement Award and Fellowships with RICS and NZIOB.
Deborah Levy
Trustee
Deborah Levy is a Professor of Property at The University of Auckland Business School. She is internationally recognised for her research in behavioural studies relating to property markets, which is informed by previous work experience as a property professional and by continued close association with the property industry.
Her work analyses market behaviour and challenges many quantitative models that assume rational utility maximisation on the part of consumers.
David White
Trustee
David White is a lecturer at Massey University. He has 30 years’ experience in the property industry in areas of investment, corporate real estate and consultancy, covering commercial, industrial, retail and residential property across the public and private sectors.
Ross Hancox
Trustee
Ross Hancox is a Managing Director at CBRE and has had an extensive career in senior roles working with major banks in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. During his time in these roles, Ross was active in deal structuring and approval of debt participation in larger, structured transactions across all property sectors.
Ross has a strong background in risk management disciplines, having worked across a number of industries in his professional career, and is very well known within the New Zealand valuation industry. He has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and sat on several expert panels.
Ross is a Fellow of both the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
Leigh Featherstone
General Manager
Leigh has developed and implemented successful projects in manufacturing, professional services, property, building and construction and sustainability.
He has owned two SME businesses and has experience in companies and not-for-profits at domestic and international scale. Leigh is a certified Advisory Board Chair.
