After the success of the Semester 2 event last year we grasped how valuable Buddy Day is for both industry and upcoming property students, so we had no hesitation in supporting the Semester 1 event this year, held on campus in the Fale Pasifika.
100+ Y2 Students initially sit at the table of their first choice of 14 participating companies, then swap to their second choice at the halfway mark. The idea is for them to ask questions, understand what the day-to-day work might be like, and make a start on building their industry network.
For the companies involved, it is a chance to streamline identification of potential employees and get a sanity check on what the current generation’s approach and aspirations are. It’s intense, but also stimulating and fun.
